GDPR (DATA PROTECTION ACT 1998) PRIVACY STATEMENT

  • (Why we collect your personal data and what is done with it)

    When you supply your personal data to Esteem Beauty Ltd they are stored and processed for the below reasons:

  • We need to collect some personal information about you and your health in order to make sure there are no contraindications to your treatment, and legal requirements. You can of course, refuse to provide the information, however unfortunately we would have to refuse your treatment as this form is a legal requirement for our insurance.

  • Provided we have your consent we may occasionally send you emails with our latest News and offers.

  • We have a legal obligation to retain your records for seven years after your most recent appointment. After this time your records will be destroyed in a method compliant with GDPR (the Data Protection Act 1998);

  • Records retained on paper, which is locked in a cabinet within the salon, is only accessible by staff of Esteem Beauty Ltd

  • Records recorded on the salon’s software, which is password protected and only accessible by staff of Esteem Beauty Ltd

  • Your phone number and email may be used electronically, with your permission. This is for appointment reminders or occasional offers.

  • If you wish to contact us via social media, this is password protected but for historic issues with privacy associated with social media sites, you may wish to think about what you send us.

  • This website may, from time to time, provide links to other websites. Esteem Beauty has no control over such websites and is no way responsible for the content thereof. This policy does not extend to your use of such websites. Users are advised to read the privacy policy or statement of other websites prior to using them.

  • We will never share your data with anyone who does not need access without your consent.

  • You have the right to see what personal data of yours we hold and you can also ask the Owner of Esteem Beauty Ltd to correct any factual errors. Provided the legal minimum period has elapsed, you may also ask the business to erase your records.

  • We would like you to be absolutely confident that we treat your personal data responsibly and that we do everything we can to make sure that only people who can access that data have a genuine need to. Of course if you feel we have mishandled your data in some way, you have the right to make a formal complaint.


  • Booking policies: To help ensure the smooth running of our Salon we now require a deposit to secure all bookings. All provisional appointments with be automatically removed from our system if a deposit is not paid within 48 hours of making the booking. A credit/debit card payment can be made in person or over the phone. Be assured we do not keep any card details. Thank-you for understanding.

  • Anti-wrinkle injections/Dermal Fillers: Consultations for anti-wrinkle treatments and dermal fillers are £30 which is payable at the time of booking your consultation. Please note that this amount is redeemable against the price of your chosen treatment. 

  • Semi-permanent Make up consultation: Consultations for all semi-permanent make-up treatments (microblading / micropigmentation) are charged at £30 which is payable at the time of booking your consultation. Please note that this amount is not redeemable against the price of your chosen treatment. 

  • Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give us 24 hours’ notice prior to the appointment to avoid losing your deposit and 48 hours notice is required for group booking, package, or specialised treatments bookings.

  • Refunds: All deposits and booking fees are non-refundable. In certain cases, refunds may be available only upon special request to the owner. Refunds can only be processed if the client comes into the salon.

  • Vouchers: Customers paying with vouchers are reminded that if they fail to attend the appointment or change the booking timings with less than 48 hours’ notice, they will lose their deposits and the treatment will not be redeemable in the future.

  • Punctuality: Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your treatment. Arriving late for your treatment will limit the time of your treatment. Your treatment will end at the scheduled time to accommodate the next customer’s scheduled appointment.

  • Returns Policy: if you change your mind about your purchase, please return the unused goods (in unopened/undamaged packaging) to us within 7 days of purchase and we will offer you an exchange, a credit note or you can put the value towards the cost of a treatment. This does not affect your usual consumer rights*, including your right to claim a refund, replacement, repair and/or compensation where the goods are faulty or misdescribed.'

  • Cold sore sufferers: Esteem Beauty would like to remind customers that if suffering from a cold sore at the time of a treatment Esteem Beauty will not be able to perform said treatment. This will result in Esteem Beauty retaining the deposit to cover the cost of the missed appointment. * Taken from the Sale of Goods Act 1979

  • Massage: When booking a massage please advise Esteem Beauty in advance if you suffer from any allergies, skin sensitivity, dermatitis, contact eczema or psoriasis as we may need to make alternative arrangements to provide the service. If not advised with at least 24 hours notice this may prevent you from receiving the treatment requested and loosing your deposit.

    We do not wish to disappoint; however your health and well-being are always our priority. Speak with your skincare professional and your doctor if you have any questions or concerns.

  • “5pm” Bookings: Esteem Beauty does not have access to 5pm booking system and can not confirm appointments. We do our best to accommodate customers into their desired timings. Esteem reserves the rights to amend bookings where the appointment time provided by 5pm has been booked previously.  Customers should ensure they bring their booking reference no. when they visit the salon for their treatment. 5pm offers are not subject to any offers or discounts that may be available at Esteem Beauty. 

  • Piercing: Piercing will not be carried out on any individual under the age of 16 without the permission of a parent or guardian. It will also not be carried out if the individual is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.  Customers should discuss their medical history with the operator and read the aftercare leaflet carefully as there is a risk of infection if proper care is not taken. Clients should be aware of the risks of allergic reaction to the jewellery, migration or rejection of jewellery, localised infection at the piercing site and localised swelling or trauma before giving consent for the procedure. 

  • Semi Permanent Make - Up: Semi Permanent Make -Up will not be carried out on any individual under the age of 16 or an individual who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.  Customers should discuss their medical conditions with the operator and read the aftercare leaflet carefully before signing the consent to avoid infection. Clients should be aware of the risks associated with the procedure before signing the consent form. 

  • Belongings: Esteem Beauty would like to remind the customers that we are not responsible for the safety and security of their belongings, we are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please ensure you take all your belongings when you leave. 

  • Medical Conditions: If you have any type of medical condition, be sure to mention it to your therapist. Certain treatments may not be advisable for you.
