Anti Wrinkle Treatment
What is Anti Wrinkle Treatment ?
Anti-wrinkle injections work by relaxing the muscles within the treated area that would normally contract and cause the skin to crease.
Say goodbye to unwanted fine lines, wrinkles, neck bands and much more !
How does it work?
Anti-wrinkle injections involve injecting a protein called botulinum toxin type A which is what causes the muscles to relax. Nerve endings release a chemical substance, acetylcholine, which transmits contraction information to the muscle. Anti wrinkle injection temporarily blocks the release of acetylcholine. The muscle is then relaxed and the wrinkle is reduced The effect is not permanent and re-treatment will be needed (no more then every 3 to 6 months).
Anti-wrinkle injections can target a lot of key areas including the fine lines and wrinkles found around the eye area known as crows
ON THE DAY
Prior to injecting, any make -up will be removed and the skin disinfected. Our aesthetician will then study your facial muscles to see how they work, as individuals can differ. The injections should be painless, but a local anaesthetic cream can be used prior to treatment. The treatment session will last around 15 minutes and you can return to your usual daily activities immediately afterwards.
SEEING THE BENEFITS
Anti - wrinkle injections normally takes an average of 2 to 3 days, to start working as seen in glabellar lines, although it may take a little longer for the full effects to be seen. The speed of action will depend on the strength of your facial muscles and your individual response to the injection.
