Acne is a prevalent skin condition characterized by the presence of comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) and pus-filled spots (pustules).

 

Typically emerging during puberty, it can manifest with varying degrees of severity, ranging from occasional outbreaks on the face, neck, back, and chest—a common experience for most teenagers—to more persistent and severe cases that may lead to scarring and affect self-esteem.

 

While many individuals find relief by their late teens or early twenties, acne can persist into adulthood for some.
